Nightscout Foundation HackDiabetes* 2026

The projects that the Nightscout Foundation support continue the great work within the Open Source community. We are Paying It Forward since all development is driven by volunteers - the unpaid heroes whose brilliance the Type 1 community counts on to make life easier. #WeAreNotWaiting

Each year, the Nightscout Foundation sponsors the HackDiabetes conference. This event allows in-person conferencing and development sessions that are filled with exciting new ideas and new processes to make life with Type 1 Diabetes easier and healthier. Bringing the contributors and developers together in one location has only improved prior Nightscout supported projects.

YOU CAN BE PART OF HACKDIABETES!

By making a personal donation to The Nightscout Foundation using the link below, you’ll be able to sponsor attendance at the conference. We encourage you to help the Foundation afford to underwrite attendance and allow the Foundation to continue to offer these brainstorming and problem-solving events. Your support truly powers all of this work.

Here’s how your sponsorship and/or donation can make a difference:

Become a Sponsor!

Hackathon Sponsorship Levels:

  • $50,000 -Premier Sponsor: cover the entire conference with your incredibly generous donation. You will receive endless accolades from the Nightscout Foundation, from the Developers, and from all users of Open Source Technologies.

  • $5,000 –Double Stack Scholarship: Same as below, times two. Two developers/volunteers, fully covered, because redundancy isn’t just good practice in OS-AID development

  • $2,500 –Full Stack Scholarship: Covers flight, hotel, and food for a developer. The literal Full Stack: getting someone from “wants to be there” to “actually in the room”

  • $1,250 –TRIO (Takeoff, Runway, In-Flight, Onward): Airfare for an attendee. Turbulence over the Rockies, not included.

  • $750 –AAPS (An Actual Pillow, Seriously): Provide a place for developers and volunteers to rest their heads after a full day of solving our problems

  • $250 –OREF (Onsite Refreshments, Endlessly Flowing): An all-day snack and drink table that never quite empties

Become a Premier Supporter!

  • $15 –COB (Caffeine on Board): Give developers a good cuppa coffee so they don’t have to rely on Tim Hortons

  • $25 –UAM (Utterly Aggressive Munching): Give attendees some yummy snacks to keep them going

  • $50 –FPU (Fully Powered Up): A pile of charging cables so nobody's laptop flatlines

  • $100 –LOOP (Late Orders Of Pizza): Feed the whole room during the late-night push

Thanks for being part of the larger Nightscout Community! Every little bit helps!
